PCT Trail Wash-out and blow down

Post by DannyH » November 24th, 2015, 10:08 am

The PCT south of Cascade Locks is in need of a lot of help. The trail is washed out at the creek east of Dry Creek. Between there and I-84 I tallied 56 downed trees. Most of them between the highway and Dry Creek were easy to get over/under. Between Dry Creek and the next creek were several highly tangled areas where the trail is invisible under the trees.

We know. We had a logout crew already, and cleared 44 trees on Sunday Nov 22. We have crews scheduled to logout on Dec 5 and Dec 7, and will work the tread and that nasty washout after that.

We counted over 80 trees that we left after we ran out of gas.
