Conditions at Timothy Lake

Post by SmellyRunner79 » June 19th, 2008, 2:11 pm

Hey, I'm planning a backpacking overnighter around Timothy Lake near Mt. Hood. Does anyone have recent trail/snow conditions for that area? Thanks for any input!

I think the only campground that might not be open is the walk in at Meditation Point. Other than that from the latest forest service update it looks like the roads and campgrounds there are open. I'd think there's definitely still going to be some crusty snow around in the shady sheltered areas though.

ya'll think its accessible now? Memorial Day weekend we drove up there to check it out - after 60 foot the road was 3 foot of snow or more - totally inaccessible. Has a lot of plowing been going on?

You could verify with the forest service by phone but their website says the campgrounds and at least 2 of the access roads are open.
