Northwest Real-Time Images

The URLs have changed, so thought I'd post a couple of handy links for checking real-time conditions in a few Pacific Northwest parks and forests:

US Forest Service Air Quality Cams

Three Forest Service cameras to pick from -- Pasaytan Wilderness, and two very handy cameras for Mount Hood and the Gorge. All are updated at 15 minute intervals and have 24-hour archived images.

National Park Service Air Quality Cams

For the Pacific Northwest, the Park Service has cameras at Olympic, North Cascades and Mount Rainier. Nothing at Crater Lake (yet), so will have to stay tuned for that one. Like the USFS cams, the Park Service cameras update at 15-minute intervals, and have 24-hour archives.

Crater Lake cam is at http://www.craterlakelodges.com/press-r ... _1394.html

NW hiker has a couple useful ones that combine nat'l park and odot cams..
http://nwhiker.com/pnwWXcam4.html
http://nwhiker.com/pnwWXcam2.html

Tripcheck has all the odot cams and wash. dept of transportation has the same. There also three cams at the Mt Bachelor website which I don't have a link saved to. HooDoo has one also. There's pretty decent coverage..
Hopefully I typed these correctly..
Okay, one more... Mt Rainier has 4 different cams in the Paradise area on their homepage at http://www.nps.gov/mora/
Since you can not always trust the weather reports I find the cameras to be very useful for trip planning..

If you want to get really crazy (and have time on your hands), this site has a huge collection of links to volcano cams from Alaska down to Mexico, plus Hawaii. And, it has Crater Lake.

Grew up in Portland, but have lived in Chicago and Amsterdam the past 20 years. I miss home a lot and as a consequence have scoured the internet for webcams - a little link to home. Here's a link to the "live" crater lake cam -
