Oregon Hikers

Has anybody been in Quartz Creek lately? I've been reading a lot of mixed info. Some say is clear and maintained and some others say it's full of down trees all the way to Snagtooth Creek. I was thinking of doing a small three day loop going to the boundary trail and coming back on the Quartz Creek Ridge trail.

I have not been up there this year, but last Summer/Fall I made a couple trips on Quartz Creek. The trail was mostly clear for the first 5 miles, at the 5 mile mark and the intersection with trail 5B the Quartz Creek trail is covered with a lot of very large trees. Everything was fairly easy to get around.

I just got an email today from the WTA indicating that there may be funding to get the Quartz Creek and other trails cleared/improved in the Dark Divide in 2011.
