Has anyone been up to Forest Park in the last day or so? How's the snow depth?
I'm interested in skiing up there, but I'm a little hesitant to make the trek up from Milwaukie unless I know there's enough snow to ski.
Thanks!

Re: Forest Park- skiable?
6 to 8 inches everywhere. Someone had CC skied up the Linnton trail today and headed south on the WW. North of FL 10 I made first tracks to Newton. (I was hiking). A few branches down here and there and an occasional tree but no big deal.
Germantown road is closed, BTW, but driveable if you have the proper equipement.
I'd go tomorrow morning if you go, it's going to start melting by afternoon.

Thanks Don!
I was able to get up to the Zoo last night and had a nice ski on the Wildwood and Redwood trails. It was thin, but mostly skiable.

Wow - lots less snow just a little bit south of where I was.

It was hard for me to tell exactly- I think the trail tread itself was particularly thin because of foot traffic. There was a lot more snow off trail. I also think there was a lot more snow in the open areas. . . but a lot of it had compacted (and unfortunately crusted over) from the strong sunlight yesterday afternoon.Don Nelsen wrote: ↑February 25th, 2023, 1:00 pmWow - lots less snow just a little bit south of where I was.
