Spot near Government camp?

Post by dhaval257 » February 14th, 2023, 10:43 am

Hello All,

As we are in a week of getting good amount of snow, I am on a quest to find these meadows/creek that I have seen in many pictures for landscape photography.

Based on my findings it is closer to government camp, but not sure where exactly.
Was hoping to get some guidance on the possible location of this place.

Thanks,
Dhaval

Based on sleuthing the angle of view of Hood, it looks like maybe the meadow NE of Tom Dick and Harry (just west of Skibowl East).

Agree with location mentioned above.

45.297372, -121.763726 is my best guess at specifics.

Trillium Lake?

if teachpdx and bosterson aren't correct, or at least that would be another good spot to take pictures :)

Thank you all for your replies. Trillium lake is always a great spot to take pictures :)

Based on GPS coordinates provided by teachpdx, it looks to be the spot, at least some pictures on trail #691 confirms it.

I'll update on how it goes, thank you :)

It's Multorpor Fen. This photo was taken at 45.2973,-121.7610. Same trees visible.

In the summer, there's a trail behind Ski Bowl's mini-golf course that leads to a little observation area.

that would be a lot easier to get to than Trillium Lake, if there's a lot of snow :)
