Multnomah Falls parking

Ok here’s a question… I’m planning to do a hike up toward franklin ridge from Multnomah Falls trailhead this weekend. What time do you think I need to get there to find a parking spot?

Also, are there any special permits or fees required to park there?

I haven't been there lately so I'm not sure how quickly parking fills up these days. I'd guess that since it's February you don't need to get started quite as early as you would a few months from now. That said, the forecast is calling for sunshine this weekend so you probably want to get there by 9. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

If you park on I84 you should be good up until about 10-11am. If you park next to the lodge, I would say closer to 9am. Since the weather is predicted to be nice, you may want to push it earlier. No parking permits required.

Great, thanks for the info. I'm scarred from living in Bend where some trailheads fill up at 6:00 AM.
