Avalanche Valley (Adams) trail conditions
A friend and I are considering a trip to Avalanche Valley on Mt. Adams in a week. Anyone have any intel on trail conditions? We would likely start at Muddy Meadows, probably camp two nights at Foggy Flat, and dayhike to/from Avalanche Valley on the middle day. Thanks

It's a bit of a stretch to call that a trail.
I can't imagine it's much better or worse than previous years.
I hope you'll post a TR. That's a fun part of the mountain that doesn't get much attention.

Trailmasterp, did you end up doing this trip last year? Any notable things to be aware of?

I didn't end up doing the Avalanche Valley trip last year, but hope to do it one of these years. I enjoyed Brad's trip report and look forward to reading yours, too.
Re: Avalanche Valley (Adams) trail conditions
It's been some years since I have been there and something always seems to get in the way of a return. But however good the trail is (or is not), there was a photo in Brad's report that shows the obvious notch between Adams and Goat Butte that is your goal. It is visible most of the way, so the route finding getting there is not too difficult.
