If anyone is still checking this I crossed Friday morning. There's a rope that a lot of people use there. It's pretty deep from what I heard last week. Above the rope crossing is a series of small falls where the river splits up bit. I crossed here and maybe had one step go up to my calf. I'd definitely recommend scouting above the rope some. I think this would be better later in the day as well.
