Was out there before the fire and it was open at some point. Found out the hard way today that it’s closed after a quick run to the coast after work. Did the Thumb instead. There’s a little bit of blowdown requiring a little off trail jaunt, but nothing difficult. I guess I went out the illegal way probably should read the field guide ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Labor Day wind storm damage clean up continues. As of noon, October 2, 2020, nearly all trails and recreation sites that were impacted by storm damage have reopened. Cascade Head-area trails and Forest Service Road 1861 remain closed at this time, along with the Discovery Loop Trail at Cape Perpetua.
