Badger Creek / Lake Water Conditions Late Sept?

Post by BassMasterK » September 17th, 2019, 7:58 am

I am looking to do a 3-4 day backpack trip late September with my wife and Badger Creek Trail to Badger Lake has been on my radar for a few years but I have never been on it. It appears to be a more popular spring / early summer trip than early fall. Doing some research, it appears they drain Badger Lake throughout the summer for farmers and it reaches a minimum in August. Since this lake appears to feed the creek, I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is enough water feeding the creek this weekend where we would be able to filter our water from it?

If anyone has done the trek this late in the season, would there be a reason for us not to do this one and wait for earlier next year?

It's a large creek that is fed by many other creeks below Badger Lake. You'll have more than enough opportunities for water.
