Cairn Basin

Thinking about camping in Cairn Basin this coming weekend. Any tips or ideas about snow/mosquitoes there right now? Thanks in advance!
I tried to get there a week ago but there was total snow coverage. I found a dry spot to camp near McGeee Creek. There might be dry places in Cairn Basin.
Walking on snow wasn't much more difficult than walking on a trail - lots of tracks to follow.
There were a few bugs, more at lower elevation. Wait a few weeks for the bug explosion.
