Wild Flowers please

Post by hikin_mike1960 » May 16th, 2019, 8:20 am

Hi,
I was asked to find a place to do a model photo shoot with wild flowers. I was at the Dallas Mountain Ranch last Sunday and the flowers there were about done. Any other suggests please.

thanks

Yeah, you're late for low altitude flowers. Dog Mountain if you can avoid the crowds, or maybe Augspurger Mtn just next to it up on it's ridge. Both of those are big climbs. Grassy Knoll could be good now, if you have the patience for driving the potholes getting to the trailhead. Maybe Phlox Point?

I just drove 197 south out of The Dalles today. There are quite a few flowers on the hills between Dufur and Tygh Valley.
Not that it's public property or anything, but it wouldn't be too hard to pull off the side of the road, head a few hundred feet up a hill, and have your fill of photogenic flowers.
