Rockpile Lake Trail Maintained? (Jefferson Wilderness)

Does anything know if the east side trail directly to Rockpile Lake is maintained (the Rockpile Lake on the PCT between Minto Pass and Shirley Lake)? And what the campsite outlook is up there? Thinking of a quick trip up this weekend to watch sunset/sunrise.
