Best Place to view Mount Adams
From what I've read, Mount Adams is a bit isolated. Any recommendations as to how to get fairly close so I can get some good pictures?

Go to Trout Lake, then FS road 23 north. Views along it. Takhlakh Lake would be good.

For easy access: the hill at the end of FR-2360, coordinates 46.1086, -121.6587. Good gravel road until the last 1/3 mile which should be walked, then a brief scramble up a small rock outcrop.

Thanks for the replies. More are welcome. How are the views from the MA Recreation Area?

The view from Takhlakh Lake is great. I think I will go there. Are there some hiking trails there? Thanks for the info!retired jerry wrote: ↑July 7th, 2018, 5:07 amGo to Trout Lake, then FS road 23 north. Views along it. Takhlakh Lake would be good.

You can walk around the lake.
If you continue past the lake on rd 2329 to Divide Camp trail or Killen Creek Trail, those are very nice, although you maybe have to go a mile or two before you get the best views.

The top of Sleeping Beauty, a short and steep hike, is one of the best places later in the day (with the sun behind you in the western sky). The ag fields between Trout Lake and the Trout Lake school on SR141 are easy and great. Tahklakh Lake is great for reflections off water and Muddy Meadows trailhead is great for a large meadow setting.

That sounds good. Thanks. Could you tell me where Sleeping Beauty is? Is there a map?drm wrote: ↑July 8th, 2018, 2:19 pmThe top of Sleeping Beauty, a short and steep hike, is one of the best places later in the day (with the sun behind you in the western sky).
