I realize you're talking about 30-35 miles, but my trip report from a few years ago describes another (admittedly somewhat longer) route you might wish to consider. My friend and I loved it and we were able to avoid much of the Pole Creek burn, which I think would make up a substantial portion of one of the other options folks have mentioned. From my perspective, the use trail between South Sister and Middle Sister was very easy to follow, at least when traveling from east to west. Anyway, just another idea.

Ok I think we have a winner. Just reviewed it with my wife and while this is a push for the other two in my party, it's still doable.trailmasterp wrote:I realize you're talking about 30-35 miles, but my trip report from a few years ago describes another (admittedly somewhat longer) route you might wish to consider. 38 miles(roughly) in total for 4 days. approximately 10 miles per day. Not too bad and no hard climbs like my other route was presenting.
Feel much better now about this trip. Thanks!
