Minto or Wasco Lake off the PCT.

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there are camp sites at Minto or Wasco Lakes? We are planning on section hiking this part of the PCT and we are starting at the trail head at highway 20 and going north.

Wasco has some nice tent sites. The downside is that it's very popular and only about 2 miles from Jack Lake Trailhead. Unless you like crowds, I'd avoid those lakes on the weekends.

Yeah, as we were heading south on the PCT from Minto Pass, a few weeks ago, every full-load backpacker we crossed trails with was asking "how far to Wasco Lake?" It was gonna be a very crowded place there, that night! (Most of the sites were already full at 3pm!)

Thanks for the info. I will be starting on thursday. So, hopefully the crowds are not there yet.
