Ollalie Lake?

Post by Paul » April 28th, 2016, 5:58 pm

Anyone been up there this year yet? How passible is the road? Want to bring my little daughter hiking up there, playing around in the snow if there is some.

As of April 9th (sorry, best I have) there was 4' of snow at the resort and Diane and her crew are not planning on trying to get in until closer to June 1st to prep for the summer.
It has been pretty warm for three weeks but parts of that access road don't get much sun. I don't really want to bug her and ask again for a couple more weeks...

Thanks Gene. SNow up to a foot or so won't bother me on the road in sections, however there's one section right after Lower Lake campground that becomes a bit of a steep hill in the snow.

This was last year, April 15th-ish

Unlikely to happen again anytime soon....
And the hill you talked about was scary as $#@!...lol... The one really bad part. But even someone on a motorcycle made it that day..
