Hi everyone,
So my family and I are looking for a two night backpacking trip over the 4th. We want something within a three hours drive form Portland's east side and with 6-7 miles of hiking per day (so less than 20 in total) . We don't mind having other people around, but also do not want to be with the masses. Right now Jefferson Park or the Green Lakes (with a climb of South Sister) are on our radar but I would love to hear any other suggestions. Preferable we would like to hike to a new place and camp in a different location both nights. Also, if you have been to the area recently can you please enlighten us about the mosquito conditions.
