I guess this is an old thread but saw a memorial plaque near McNeil Pt on Mt Hood yesterday and was also wondering how many of these were around.

I don't recall seeing the Rick Smith monument posted above. Looks like it was painstakingly stamped by hand, a letter at a time. I spotted a typo, but out of respect, I won't criticize.

I lunched yesterday at the B26 crash site on Hood, and wondered why there wasn't a monument.

yeah, the Rick Smith plaque is like a ransom note, with the characters unequally spaced

"taught" - it looks like they put an "m" instead of "a", but then tried to stamp over it the correct letter?

edit - I mean instead of "u" - much easier to edit digital and make the characters equally spaced :)

I recognize that Tuter memorial!
Ran across it randomly, wasn't expecting it.

There's a memorial on Silver Star that's hidden in plain sight, people walk by it all the time without knowing.
