Rogue River Trail in June
Rogue River Trail in June
Jerry does this in winter and I see lots of spring reports, then it falls away. I've got a four-day weekend coming up and the weather seems a lot better south than north. Any reason not to do this trail, which I've never done yet?

Seems hot to me, but...
Other places like high elevation in gorge or Zigzag ridge are accessible now, but if it's raining...

A little hot, but not as hot as it will get in July- early Sept. But, like Jerry said, the forecast looks good, at least in the near term. Plenty of places to swim or dunk your head in the water to cool off if needed.
You'll see more rafting traffic than in the shoulder seasons, so possibly more competition for campsites.
One bonus is that the lodges will be open for staying at and/or obtaining meals.

How do you feel about poison oak? It's pervasive. Other than that, it's a beautiful trail with lots of "swimming" (nee, wading) opportunities.

I did part of it in April and it was awesome...except for the poison oak and the fact none of the shuttle services were open or responding to emails or phone calls. I didn't do a trail report. Too lazy.
