Grouse Vista Discover Pass

Post by arundodonax » July 1st, 2012, 11:33 am

Can anyone comment as to if they've seen a discover pass sign at the Grouse Vista trailhead as of late?

Thanks!

People keep ripping it down, but currently it is still ripped down.

Was ripped down as of 7/4/12. It seems to take whoever is doing it a day or two at most.

That's funny. I got to Grouse vista yesterday around 2pm and the sign was up. Didn't see if it was torn down after my hike. i think the folks tearing the signs down should just suck it up and stop wasting paper (tearing signs down = more paper going towards the creation of new signs!)

Doesn't matter if the sign is there or not, the TH is inside DNR lands (right?) and a DP is still
needed regardless. :P

As to whether or not the state is enforcing areas with torn down signs or not is another matter . . .

That's funny, TYC. You took a picture of my car.

The sign was there when I got there, around 7p.

Lol I think me and you were the only ones with Discovery Passes Arundodonax. Oh and nice car :D . I got there at 8pm so it seems like within that hour window someone hit the sign.

Totally agree with you Eric. If the sign isn't up it is not like it is not DNR land still.

Is that the car you towed from California or a new one? :)

I always dread that my car will break down far away from home

That's the one from California.

The next car will be one that can get me to the north Silver Star trailhead. ;)
