Memaloose lake snow?

Post by The Old Woods Loafer » June 23rd, 2008, 8:35 am

I was wondering if anyone has been up to Memaloose lake over the week-end? I wanted to go last week-end, but the ranger district warned of snow around 2300 ft. The lake I think is at 4100 ft. I've never been to the lake and can't wait to get up there. Anyone have any pointers for the area.

According to the Trailadvocate site, Memaloose lake is still not accessible due to snow. Here is the quote from the front page of the site:
It is not possible to get to Hideaway Lake, Squaw Mountain, Lookout Springs, High Rock, Memaloose Lake or Olallie Country. Access is about a month late this year.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: WOW! What a ride! - Hunter S. Thompson
