Hi,
We have been planning a 20 mile hike, hopefully a loop. We were going to start at Wahtum Lake, but the road is closed for starting there.
Any suggestions?

A good hike might be Aldrich Butte,Birkenfeld and Table Mountain starting at the Hot Springs Hotel. It would not be a complete loop, but 75% of the hike would be. There would be a short bush whack. You could also hike from the same starting spot and hike to Three Corner Rock. Flowers should be very nice on Birkenfeld. The hike to three corner Rock is more than 20 miles and the other a little less than 20 miles.

I'm having trouble thinking of anything else that would be melted out by June 27...hmmm....still thinking...

I'm guessing this one is not quite melted out yet (it gets over 4000')- but someone else may know better: Eagle-Benson Loop Hike
It's 16 miles, but it would be easy to add on a bit of extra from spur hikes.

Up Nick Eaton Ridge to Ridge Camp. Surprisingly, there's hardly any snow on that ridge even though it's 4000'. Then down Casey Creek trail to Herman Creek Trail. Then up Herman Creek Trail a ways. Then back down to trailhead.
