I did the straightforward Cooper Spur hike on Wed Oct 4. It was a breezy/windy sunny day.
On this day, many spiders were riding their lines with the wind. When the light was right, I could usually see the lines. There were large numbers of spider lines draped across the ground and rocks just about everywhere. More than a few times I needed to shoo the spiders off my hat.
