Mazama Trail 6-29-23

Post by Rick » June 30th, 2023, 5:45 pm

Three of us scouted the Mazama Trail Wednesday and Thursday in preparation for our upcoming annual work party. The trail is free of snow up to 5100’ and then just some patches to the upper jct at 5600’. 32 trees down in total, we knocked that down to about 20 but saved some for the volunteers in July. So it’s quite passable right now with just a few step arounds/overs. Flowers are appearing daily! Road is in good shape but a reminder that the trail is only accessible from the Hood River side.
