Mount Hebo
Hiked ~7 miles of Mt Hebo from the towers to the 3176 high point. Don’t know which peak is actually Mount Hebo. Saw no one on the trail except at the towers. Quite a bit of blowdown on the trail but nothing large.

Re: Mount Hebo
Those are Coast Range fawn lilies. Supposedly they only grow in six places in the northern Coast Range, and Mount Hebo is the best known of the six.

Thank you for the correction. I was lucky to see them.

Re: Mount Hebo
Well, to be honest, on Mount Hebo at this time of year, you'd be unlucky if you DIDN'T see them. They're all over the place up there.
Re: Mount Hebo
Up there myself this weekend, 6/9-10. From the corral just above Hebo Lake (free parking) to South Lake. A lot of car campers there so we went back up to the summit and camped just out of sight of the trail. Foggy with just an occasional sprinkle. Next morning was clear and beautiful.
Lots of flowers, and like Sugar Pine said, a bit of blow down but all small and nothing to worry about. Did make the trail a little treacherous on the downhill in places, plenty of grabby branches. Huckleberries are just starting to appear but no strawberry flowers. My friend is pretty sure he heard a bear around dawn near the one sure water source along the top part of the trail...something big and alone, at least, but no other sign along the trails.
