Tom Dick Harry Mountain

Post by sheilakpdx » November 18th, 2022, 10:14 pm

Hiked up to TDH today under blue skies. Left the parking lot with spikes on and glad to have them the entire way. Snow shoes not necessary. Packed snow and ice all the way up. The wind was constant and didn’t stop all morning. It was quite fierce up top. All the peaks to the north were out but Mt Jefferson only showed the tip. The rest was under cloud cover. Maybe about a dozen people on the trail. A cold but beautiful day.

I was nearby on the Hidden Lake Trail on that same day and I had to use my microspikes as well. It was icy. Little ZigZag Falls trail was a sheet of ice... and it did have some interesting icicles.
