We spent 4 amazing nights in the Alpine Lakes camping first at Marmot Lake and then Tuck Lake. From Marmot we hiked to Lake Clarice, Jade Lake and Pea Soup Lake. From Tuck we hiked to Robin Lakes and then part way up Trico Mtn. The weather was warmish for that elevation, low 80s at the lakes. The mosquitoes were out but not bad. The trails were mostly clear of snow, other than the glacier hike up to Pea Soup and on the way to Trico. The trail and camps were not crowded, until Friday night. On our way out Saturday we passed 40+ people hiking in, most going to Robin Lakes. The Tucquala trailhead was overflowing.
The lakes were spectacular and we were fortunate in our trip timing, after most of the snow melted and before the crowds.
The trail to Tuck Lake from the Deception Pass Trail was quite steep, gaining over 1000' in less than a mile and with loose, and rocky tread. The route to Robin Lakes was perhaps steeper in sections but was mostly granite.

Very nice. That area is stunning, you were lucky to get it without crowds!

Jade Lake looks like a real gem (pun intended). It reminds me of Alberta with all that glacial silt. Where's my transporter? It looks like a great place on a 90-degree day.
