Zigzag Mountain loop 7-23-22
A few good views of the mountains, with Mt. Hood esp. prominent along with Jefferson, St. Helens, Rainier and Adams, and abundant and varied wildflowers. Unfortunately, dozens of deadfall to maneuver over/under/around, plus long stretches of heavy brush, took away much of the enjoyment. High degree of solitude, though - we didn’t see any other hikers despite it being a beautiful sunny Saturday.

Thanks for the report. Stretches of that loop haven't been brushed out in many years and the deadfall, which didn't use to be serious, just accumulates I suppose. I take it you motored in via Enola Hill - how was the road?
Re: Zigzag Mountain loop 7-23-22
You bet, Bobcat. And Enola Hill's the way we went in - scraped on one pretty wide area of rock in an SUV with decent clearance. Otherwise fine with a lot of rock dodging and a couple of mudholes. I'm sure people drive it in regular passenger cars, but I wouldn't want to.
