Post Camp trail to Badger Creek-backpacking with kids

Hiked down the Post Camp Trail to Badger Creek and spent one night just above the intersection of those trails. There is a good amount of blow down on Post Camp trail but we moved what we could and were able to navigate around/over each spot. (Our party of 8 includes a 7 year old and a 40 year recovering from a back injury). The trail is dry and easy to follow, although there was some assistance needed to cross Drop Creek with dry feet. Saw some beautiful flowers and views. Also found several ticks but only one was actually attached to a human, we managed to remove the rest from the kids’ hair before they were bitten.
We saw 3 other hikers pass our camp and two arrived at Post Camp trailhead as we were leaving.
Overall a great trip—this trail has as gradual an elevation grade as a hiker can hope for, views, and beautiful Badger Creek at the bottom!
