I hiked this trail on 6/18/2022. It is lovely and green. There are a few downed logs to scramble over. The creek crossing is calf-height, fairly wide, and cold, but the current is not strong.
When I arrived at the trailhead, I had much doubt that I was in the right place. The GPS said I was, but all I could see were "private property" and "no parking signs". There is a small clearing that I parked in with no signs right next to it, and I re-read the trailhead description: "you can park at the trailhead, only right next to the cable gate, not anywhere else on the road", but still didn't feel confident until I spotted this rock:
I am writing this trip report just to say thank you to the maker of this rock. After seeing this confirmation, I continued on my way and had a lovely walk through the forest. Rhododendrons are in bloom, the creek is beautiful.

Welcome, Heidi. That's a great summertime hike. Thanks for the reminder to get back to it.

Thanks for the report. I did this as a hike and bike a few years ago starting at wildwood and riding back from bonanza trailhead. That creek section is really nice and views when you get up to the plaza are great! I still get a creepy feeling when I walk by the mine. I'm 100% certain a cave bear is coming out of there one day
