Balsamroot maybe a hair past peak at the bottom but lupine peaking. Up above lupine hasn't even opened yet.

Nice shots. Did both trails on Tuesday and it was great!

Had a pair of chinooks pop up right over us on the Rowena crest side

Ah - the blue cornflowers. I didn't see them above. I see them a lot on the Syncline.

One my favorite hikes, especially in wildflower season. But even in late summer the views are still great. When my wife and I first got into hiking this was a challenging trail for us. This report just made me look back at our pictures from 2009 when we first did this trail. Fun memories :D

We did this hike yesterday, May 23. I thought we might be too late in the season for flowers, but there are still loads of beautiful blossoms. As we hiked, I recalled the old trail alignment from years ago. The newer alignment is a big improvement with a lot more scenic variety. Very enjoyable hike.

McCall Point area was in full bloom yesterday.
