Dry Creek (Trapper Creek Wilderness)

Hiked Dry Creek today, after bailing on Upper Siouxon due to snow. We wanted to check out more of the area post-Big Hollow Burn. The first signs of the burn were just over 3 miles from the Trapper Creek Trailhead. There were still many live trees in the area. Sometimes the burn only appeared to impact one side of the trees. The burn did seem worse when we reached the Bourbon Creek crossing or maybe it seemed worse as we were then bushwacking trying to find the best crossing and we had to get around or over the downed, burned trees. There were a few logs that looked good for crossing, but the logs were wet, mossy, and mushroomed, we were soaked and the creek was raging, so we just turned around and decided to go to Carson Hot Springs.
Great day exploring. Other than the creek crossing, Dry Creek is a good rainy day hike as the trail is wide (old road?) and there isn't much elevation gain.

- Bourbon Creek. Some logs upstream could be used to cross but appeared slippery.
