Snow Report

Post by Sugar Pine » November 8th, 2021, 6:42 am

Hiked Gales Creek from Bell Camp Road Trailhead on Saturday afternoon. It hailed, rained and then started snowing at ~2500 ft elevation. The snow was sticking.
We also saw scattered patches of snow on the Buck Mountain Loop yesterday at ~1800 ft. But, every scattered.

Attempted to drive up to the Upper Siouxon Trailhead today, but turned around due to snow at about 2900 ft at the junction of FR 64 and 58. Wishful thinking that the warmer temperatures and rain would have melted the snow. Since we still had 500 ft to ascend, we bailed to hike Dry Creek instead.
