Punchbowl Falls Park Fall Colors (Oct 23)

Hiked the TKO-built trails of Punchbowl Falls Park on Saturday afternoon -- great time for fall colors over there, and also great to see people using the trails on a somewhat rainy fall afternoon!
The fancy gateway sign -- that neglects to mention Thrive! Hood River (the non-profit that did the legwork to make this park possible) and TKO (who built the trails)...
The Dogwood Trail is especially nice in October - trail was completed four years ago, and is looking great!
Fall Dogwood foliage along the Dogwood Trail:
Fall colors down at the Confluence, where the West Fork and East Fork come together to form the Hood River:
Fall colors on Oregon White Oak along the West Fork Trail:
More fall colors on Oregon White Oak along the West Fork Trail:
Canyon section of the West Fork Trail -- looking great in it's third year of existence:
The view from the Dead Point Falls overlook -- a short spur trail built by TKO in 2017:
Dead Point Falls from the overlook... and a bit of zoom:
...and an even closer look at Dead Point Falls, this time from the Punchbowl Falls overlook:
Dead Point Creek where it flows into the West Fork:
Punchbowl Falls from the overlook:
There should still be some nice color over there this weekend if you're in the Hood River area!
