Zigzag Overlook from Hidden Lake Trail head

Post by rodeck » October 19th, 2021, 10:02 pm

Week 10 in my 52-week journey brings me back to one of my favorite regions in the pacific northwest. This quiet but demanding hike from the Hidden Lake trail head to magnificent views of the west face of Mt. Hood on Zigzag Overlook. This 10.7 mile 2900' elevation gain hike brought me into fresh snow in the higher elevations. Never give up. Fight for your health. Find yourself, and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.

I enjoy writing quick recaps but my passion has always been documenting trips through photos and video.

I can't blame Rodeck for getting it wrong. Even after seeing Webbie's post, I still didn't see the problem until I really gave it some thought. It's one of those things where once you get it, it seems so obvious.
