Oregon Hikers

We did the Waucoma Lakes Loop Hike June 5th-6th. We did the southern loop clockwise, opposite from the route description, and skipped the sections to North Lake and around Wahtum Lake. The Rainy-Wahtum Trail still has snowbanks but in most places one side or the other of the old road is clear. The Anthill Trail is covered in snow from Rainy-Wahtum almost to the Herman Creek trail, making for difficult routefinding (not much in the way of recent footprints to follow). Blowdowns were manageable and trails were not too muddy even in the rain.

Thanks for the report on the snow situation. Sounds like a good meander around the ridge.
