Followed FG path: https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guid ... _Loop_Hike
Took my daughter and her friend for a Memorial Day hike. The trail was completely empty and with the undergrowth getting so much sun, a good portion of the 400 trail was overgrown. From the power lines, along the road and where the trail leaves the road again was confusing and required that I pull out my phone to make sure I was going where I was supposed to. It was a horrible jungle down from the Wauna Viewpoint trail junction almost all the way down to the new bridge at Eagle Creek. Exceptionally overgrown with thorny vine and nettle with three large tree-falls. Not good shorts hiking, which I was not expecting.
Eagle Creek was completely empty but looking lusher than I expected. Stayed long enough to clean the bloody scratches on legs and then took the old highway back to Tanner creek.
This trail definitely needs some brushing and attention.
