Visited Tuesday 3/9/21 at 7:30 am. Beautiful park!! There were a few people out jogging and walking. No fee needed here. Didn't see handicap parking. Parking enough for 25+ vehicles (inside the park and just outside the park along the road.) Handicap accessible and great for small children. The bathrooms here are closed for the winter. Dogs must be kept on leash. There are two covered party spaces here. One behind bathrooms (includes picnic tables, sink and cooking stove/fireplace) and the other adjacent to playground (covered on top, open on the sides). Fair grounds are next to park, big playground, Rock Cove is teaming with bird life! Rock Creek is east of the fair grounds. The Mill Pond trail is about 1.5 miles and goes from Mill Pond Trail Bridge to close to the Museum with multiple information kiosks. Stevenson Community Garden (locked) is also located within the park. On Mill Pond Trail Bridge you can get great views of Rock Creek Railroad Bridge. Looks like they are also developing a boat launch area near the assisted living home and museum. Several benches and picnic tables. Bike parking and trash can are available near the community garden. The park is open from 5am to 10pm, but there are no gates. There is also some kind of community center next to the playground with beautiful art and a garden with information kiosks. Beautiful views of the Columbia River Gorge!
Please remember to pack it in, pack it out, leave places better than you found them and leave no trace.
I did 1.49 miles w/23ft elevation gain.
