1-20-20 - - Yeon parking area closed, Eagle Creek freeway exit also closed

For anyone interested in these two areas, I went over this AM, arriving at Yeon at 8AM, to hike to Elowah and Upper McCord before the area got overly crowded, only to find the parking area blocked with construction barrels and "area closed" tape. Bummer times eleven. On the way back east , EXIT 41 down to Eagle Creek was also blocked with barrels and tape. Apparently something about landslides from the recent rains? The FS site says the falls area and Eagle Creek TH are still open, but you have to join the areas from 5+ miles east and hike in from near Cascade Locks. No indication of a timeline for reopening. Talk about disappointing.

Yeah, Eagle Creek just closed due to that big rain event a few days ago, flooding and landslides.
I think it's indefinite, might be weeks or months.

Yeon might be slightly harder to follow, as it's a lower-interest TH that people won't be talking about as much (although it's certainly popular enough that the parking lot fills up even on rainy days).
