Mt Adams Shorthorn

Yeah, still doing alpine in November. That's not so unusual - we have some years where the high country doesn't get snowed out till late in the Fall. I went up Shorthorn and then did the short cross country (!) route out to the high point on what I think is Crofton Ridge. There is a faint trail at times, getting well defined towards the end, not that it really is needed. Then I retraced my steps and took the Round the Mountain trail to the right/east for a mile or so, finding a nice spot for lunch. Lots of trees down in the first couple miles up - this must be one place where Adams was hit by the September wind storm. But there was no snow anywhere.
