It seems to me, if you start tracking this pattern, organize the irrigation process to prevent fires.

How would you irrigate forests? McNeil in particular is at high altitude in a wilderness area where infrastructure is prohibited. The nearest significant water is many miles away and downhill.

This will cost clearly less than putting out fires and reforestation.

It doesn't appear that the government can do anything this proactive. Forest Service backlog fuels wildfires.
