Interesting rock formation w/cave.
Visited the Buena Vista Overlook before the Diamond Craters turnoff Sunday 8/15/2020. The lower parking area is right off the highway on gravel road (rutted in spots). Here there is one clean vaulted toilet, trash, information kiosks and a trail that takes you up to the overlook.

If you continue on there is parking on a roundabout at the overlook. The trail at the overlook goes down to the lower parking area. The other goes to the overlook, the overlook itself is paved, everything else is gravel. There are information kiosks here and a rock wall bench.

The rock formation behind the overlook is pretty interesting and has a little cave in it.

Beyond the overlook is a great sunrise view and some lakes.

Thanks for another trip report on a trail rarely or never reported on here at OregonHikers. Each report is concise and helpful and a model for the rest of us to aspire to! Good pics, too.
