Hiked the Upper Siouxon on Friday. Completed the loop as described in the field guide here https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guid ... _Loop_Hike .
Chinook Falls made a convenient lunch spot.
Most of the this hike is forested, but there was one view from a talus field before dropping to the creek.
Opted to travel CCW on the Old Trail portion of the loop. Crossing the creek was just a rock hop. For an abandoned trail, this was easy to follow. I agree, the new trail along the creek is more scenic with the waterfalls, but it was nice to get the variety of the loop.
There are several waterfalls along the return trail uphill back to the car.
The field guide description is great, except my gps says this is only about 10.3 miles and 3000 feet of elevation gain.

Love that area! I went overnight, July 20-21. I completed a longer loop, taking the Huffman Peak trail. Wildcat Falls is my favorite of the waterfalls there.
