This TR is mainly to give a snow report. No narrative or detailed description this time.

Beginning of hike:

Lots of snow right away:

Chase had a snow bridge over a creek collapse on him:

Just before Paradise Park we headed uphill to a ridge:

Then back into all snow for the rest of the trip:

Final Notes

• This hike kicked my a#@. Lots of snow, plus climbing uphill in slushy snow, plus being my first big hike of the year.
• Was planning on doing the Timberline trail next week. Still too much snow and I’m not in good enough shape right now.

Okay, glad to see this report! I have plans in that area. Was thinking maybe May, but we keep getting more snow. Looks like I might want to wait a little longer, let things firm up a bit more. I bet a week will help, maybe two.

Interesting to see that saddle above PP with so much snow. I recognize it, but I don't think I've ever been there when it was all white.
