Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

For anyone visiting the Phoenix area, I strongly recommend the trip down to just outside of Tucson.

The Museum is located within the heart of the Saguaro National Park West.

Star of the show from my experience is the Raptor Free Flight (done 2x per day from fall-spring):

I will mention that it's a packed full of people type of place prettymuch year round, but still worth the trip, just go with the expectation of peace n quiet in some of the adjacent areas outside the Museum.

The Barn Owl was the star of the show!

Harris Hawks were rather neat and well trained. They had 4 flying in formations, many swooping within less than a few inches over head!

First time seeing "Javelinas":

The most well fed Coyote!!

There's a crazy Cacti garden area with a wealth of compositions, will be heading back!

They have a Hummingbird Avery, kind of neat/convenient:

Also if you're in the Phoenix area, there's wild horses on the Salt River:
