I was in bright yellow R1 hoodie with my friend a bit behind. We passed someone with a dog 1/4 mile from ridge cutoff on the Gorton creek trail. I was thankful that some had already done the cutoff to Nick EATON because it made my path finding easier. We headed down from junction back to Herman Creek.
It was a glorious day, but hung over and with a friend trailing behind it was a boon to have tracks to follow so we could just enjoy a great day out without testing my orienteering skills.
This forum is a treasure and I hold many of you in deep (and anonymous) esteem for your generosity and depth of history on local trails.
I almost never venture out without referencing the knowledge on this site. You are all doing good work and please keep it up.

I still read this and really regret that the Facebook page seems to have taken its place. Thanks for posting!
