Huckleberry Mtn from Douglas Trailhead

We hiked from the Douglas Trailhead, past Wildcat Mountain and up to Huckleberry Mtn last Saturday. Other than the initial part of the hike from the trailhead past the quarry it was a pleasant hike. Limited views due to the clouds. Didn't hike up Wildcat. We just missed the rain, starting and finishing our hike early. No other hikers. Trail in great condition. Windy and cold along the ridge up to Huckleberry Mtn after turning off the Douglas trail onto the Plaza trail. Light through the trees and colors of the forest were spectacular. My iPhone and lack of photography skills didn't capture it properly.

The Salmon-Huckleberry wilderness is so wet, green, and foggy. Makes it seem mysterious to me. I love it there :)

No other hikers.
So few people in that area that I'm usually startled when I see anyone. Always surprises me that it isn't more popular.
Thanks for posting!
