Toleak Point Aug 17, 2018

Post by retired jerry » August 19th, 2018, 2:40 pm

I just happened to be driving by Forks and had a day, so spent the night at Toleak Point

I usually go in the winter and maybe I'm the only one there, but it's crowded in August. There's about 2 miles of beach with Toleak Point at the middle. There were maybe 20 groups camped along that 2 miles.

Some at the top of the beach:

Some just back from the beach in the trees:

I walked to the end and found a spot, about 7 miles from Third Beach trailhead:

All campgrounds on the beach, like Kalaloch were full. North Quinalt and Graves Creek had vacancies mid week, but filled up about 4 PM on the weekends, about 15 miles from highway 101, half of it gravel.
